Introduction to Hand Embroidery
Join Julie Walleisa and Ann Zutavern of the Turquoise Trail chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America as they showcase examples of beautiful modern embroidery. Then, complete your own simple embroidery piece using a provided kit for beginners. Learn how to use 2 stitches and follow a pattern to create a counted cross stitch piece, practicing foundational skills that can be applied to many kinds of embroidery. All materials will be provided, as well as instructions to finish up at home if needed. No previous experience necessary. Registration required.
