Concerts @ the Library: Sean Gaskell
Sean Gaskell presents the West African kora, a 21 stringed harp that he learned how to play over four visits to the African continent. In addition to hearing songs that preserve an 800-year history dating back to the founding of the Mande Empire, audience members will learn how the Kora is built, who the people are that play it, and how it is often presented in Mande society.
