"We Love Barbie" Party in Solidarity with Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie
The “We Love Barbie” Party will be held at Blo Blow Dry Bar on Saturday, March 9th, the day before the Academy Awards. Happening from 4pm – 7pm, the event is free and open to the public. The party will celebrate the film’s pro-women message and in particular, show support for Barbie director Greta Gerwig, and producer/lead actress Margot Robbie after both were excluded from individual Oscar nominations despite their historic success in creating and sharing this innovative film. The event will include Barbie hair and make-up touchups by Blo Blow Dry Bar. Sister business Waxing the City will be there providing complimentary brow waxes and brow fill-ins. Barbie will be shown, and attendees can get their photo made with a life-size replica of the iconic Barbie box. Food and drinks will be offered, and attendees are encouraged to dress up like their own version of Barbie. Guests will receive goodie bags, and anyone who books a future appointment will get a discount on that service. Join us to celebrate Gerwig, Robbie, and the incredible women of Albuquerque!
