Silent Sky Present by Actors Studio 66
AS66 presents Silent Sky, the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a female astronomer in the early 20th Century. When she begins work at the Harvard Observatory, Henrietta isn’t allowed to touch a telescope. Instead, she joins a group of women “computers,” charting the stars. In her free time, Henrietta develops a technique to measure the light and distance of stars providing the tools to map the universe - all while dealing with severe hearing loss and the many challenging social issues of the time.
Directed by Levi Gore, the cast includes actors Caitlyn Kelly, Andra Beatty, Jonathan Howard, Kim Monti and Christine Grenier.
