Union College Theater and Dance Department presents FLORIDITA, my Love a play by Javier Antonio González, directed by Jorge Luna.
After missing a train, a young immigrant waitress contemplates suicide on the subway platform at the 125th Street Station. What follows is a perversely comical regression into her darkest fantasies, memories, or both. “FLORIDITA, my Love” is a nightmare about the invisible in the United States, set on the border crossings between real and imaginary, Harlem and Morningside Heights, Mexico and New York City.
Warnings: Not recommended for audiences under 16 years old. Strong language, adult content, racial slurs, prop guns and the sound of gunshots will be used during the performance
The runtime is 90 minutes, there will be no intermission.
