15th Annual Trailblazers Awards & Scholarship Fundraising Luncheon
The Women’s Fund of the Capital Region will celebrate and honor our 2025 Trailblazer and WERC’s Community Leading Star. Our 2025 Trailblazer is Karen Carpenter, President and CEO, Vanderheyden. This outstanding woman of achievement has blazed trails and impacted the lives of women and girls in our community. Our 2025 WERC’s Community Leading Star is Megan Allen, CEO, New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc. (NYCON). Through her commitment to community service, she makes a positive impact and is a role model for women of all ages. Our Honorary Committee Chair is Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill, a Women's Fund 2019 Trailblazer. Our honorees and Maggie will present a panel discussion: “Educating and Inspiring Generations”. They will share compelling stories on this topic in a conversation moderated by Benita Zahn, DPS, MS, CHWC, NBC-HWC. Two scholarship recipients will share their inspiring stories, including how their Women's Fund scholarship has helped them achieve their goal.
