Walk with Us
Walk With Us is a community action calling attention to transportation inequities impacting youth in the Capital Region. Students living within 1.5 miles of school are denied bus access, forcing many to walk regardless of weather, safety concerns, or after-school commitments, while fare enforcement continues to disproportionately impact working-class riders. Hosted by We Are Revolutionary and the Capital Region Fare-Free Transit Coalition, this walk demands fare-free transit across the Capital District. Transportation is access to education, employment, safety, and opportunity—because freedom requires mobility. We will walk with legislators to demonstrate the distance walked by youth.
