Colonial Kitchen Series - Rebuilding New York’s Historical Kitchens

On Thursday, March 13th join us for a presentation on the 18th century kitchen: how were they built in that century and how have they been rebuilt and reinterpreted at modern historic sites and museums? This talk will be presented by Sara Evenson, a food historian studying the cultural creation of kitchen spaces in New York. Her research explores the material, sensory, and architectural ways in which kitchens were created in the past and are currently interpreted at historic sites. Sara is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at the University at Albany, SUNY. The presentation will take place at Rensselaer Public Library and is free to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited so registration is required. Call Crailo at 518-463-8738 to reserve your spot by 3/12. Program Details: Thursday, March 13, 2025 6:00PM Free Admission Location: Rensselaer Public Library Registration Required by Wednesday, March 12, 2025 For further information about this Colonial Kitchen Series, please call (518) 463-8738 or visit our social media.
