SUFFS The Musical, Filmed on Broadway: Special LWV Preview at the NYS Museum on May 3
A free LWV preview screening of the musical about America's Suffragists, Sunday, May 3 at NYS Museum's Huxley Theater. -- Register at tinyurl.com/LWV-ScreenSuffs . -- 1:00 displays, artifacts, and ephemera in the theater lobby. 1:30 two speakers will anchor the musical in women’s story of today. 2:00 Suffs screening.
Speakers include Ashley Hopkins-Benton, a senior historian and curator of social history at the New York State Museum and co-author of "Votes for Women: Celebrating New York's Suffrage Centennial," and Dr. Lauren Kozakiewicz, a Lecturer at the University at Albany Department of History and author of the book "Ladies Day at the Capitol: New York's Women Legislators 1919-1992."
Presented by Leagues of Women Voters of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady Counties.
