Clearwater Trout Unlimited Angler's Flea Market
However you enjoy the outdoors, or whatever way you like to fish, the Clearwater TU Anglers Flea Market has something for you.
From saltwater rods and reels to all kinds of spinning gear, all levels of fly fishing gear from beginner to the highest quality, and a wide selection of fly-tying materials will be available. There will also be books, some even autographed!
For those who would like outdoor themed home decorating items, we have you covered. Mixed in with all these value items expect to find some unique antique and collectible items and artwork. In fact, we are pleased to welcome Barney Bellinger, noted Adirondack artist, who will display his beautiful creations.
Another special guest will be Bob Mead. Bob is a member of Clearwater TU and is a nationally renowned fly tier, specializing in realistic flies. Bob fished and tied with many of the legendary names of Catskill and Adirondack fly fishing: Dave Brandt, Ernie Schwiebert, Fran Bettors, Ed Van Put, and Mary Dette to name a few. Come sit down with Bob and hear stories about these legends. On top of all of this, Bob is an expert on fly fishing collectibles. Bring your collectible flies, old rods or reels, and any other gear that you suspect may be valuable. Think of Bob as your own Antique Road Show expert in fly fishing gear.
While shopping for that special bargain, stop by our informational tables. Find out what Trout Unlimited does in the Northeast Region, including the Capital District. There will also be a table where you can learn about the Trout Unlimited Youth Camp, and obtain enrollment forms.
Admission is $3 and children under 12 are free.
All money raised by this event goes to cold water conservation projects and to support our Trout in the Classroom program.
