Will Kempe's Players perform Measure for Measure at Indian Ladder Farms
Measure for Measure is the 2026 WKP “less-often-produced” Shakespeare production. M4M is simultaneously hilarious and deadly as it depicts an imagined Viena, gripped by a sudden shift in law and custom. The beloved duke abruptly hands over authority to an austere puritan deputy, and all “Illegal” sexual contact become a beheading offense. Complex humans, not stereotypical heroes and villains, scramble to save lives and (re) establish a healthy social order. Will the “brave new world” be governed by severe justice or grace and mercy?
Measure for Measure performances will be engaging for teen and adult audiences, but are not at all children’s theatre.
