HVCC Theatre Arts Students present Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters
"She Kills Monsters" tells the story of Agnes Evans who leaves her childhood home in Ohio after her teenage sister, Tilly, dies in a car accident. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. Through this 2011 dramatic comedy -- laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and 90s pop culture, Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. Additional performances are 7:30 p.m Dec 6 and 7, plus 2 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8. Free to HVCC and other students, $10 suggested donation for all others.
