“[Corinne Botz’s work] reads like a DSM of contemporary American life and the dark side of domesticity” — New York Times
Step inside the intimate, uncanny worlds of photographer and filmmaker Corinne Botz. Revealing “a dark obsession with domestic space and what lies behind closed doors” (Time), Botz’s work examines the spaces we inhabit and the hidden stories they hold. From miniature crime scenes and haunted houses to lactation rooms inside traditionally male bastions of power, a sustained focus on space, gender and the body — and particularly women’s experiences — is central to her practice.
For the first time, Botz brings together interconnected series spanning the past twenty-one years in an extensive solo exhibition of more than 40 works, including highlights from The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death (2004), Haunted Houses (2010), Bedside Manner (2016), Dollhouse View (ongoing), and Milk Factory (2025).
