Fly-In Breakfast Featuring: Major General Denise M. Donnell


The Empire State Aerosciences Museum will hold its monthly Fly-In Breakfast on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am at 250 Rudy Chase Drive, Glenville, NY 12302 (off Route 50). Enjoy an assortment of pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice, coffee, tea, fruit and more. The breakfast is open to the public. At 10 am, Major General Denise M. Donnell who serves as the Assistant Adjutant General and as the Commander, New York Air National Guard, Latham, NY will speak about the variety of aircraft she has flown (C-5A, C-17A, C-130, LC-130, P-3C and T-44) and balancing a military career with family life, including the challenges of deployment. She will also touch on career opportunities for the younger generation. Donnell is presently the primary advisor on all Air Guard matters to the Adjutant General. Major General Donnell received her BS degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in DC, and earned her commission through the Naval Reserves Officers Training Corps Program. Donnell was Commander for the 109th Maintenance Group where she oversaw utilization of the nation’s only ski equipped aircraft in support of the National Science Foundation and was the Commander of the 13th Air Expeditionary Group, McMurdo Station, Antarctica. A Command Pilot with more than 4,500 flight hours Major General Donnell lives in Clifton Park, NY with her husband and two children. The Museum is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm. Fly-In if you would like. Pilots: Tower Frequency 121.3; Ground 121.9.
