Pan African Youth Orchestra Rehearsals
The Pan African Youth Orchestra is beginning rehearsals! Beginning on May 7th, and continuing for each Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., youth from ages 12-18 are welcome to join New York Folklore and the Pan African Youth Orchestra for the Capital District. Rehearsals take place at the Electric City Barn, 400 Craig Street, Schenectady. There is no cost to join and all instruments and instruction will be provided.
An information session will take place on Thursday, May 9th and Thursday, June 7th from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Please plan to come by and find out the details.
Please help us spread the word to TEENS
Instruments in the Pan African Orchestra include bamboo flutes, traditional hand drums, a traditional xylophone, the kora (a stringed instrument) and other percussion instruments.
