Albany Soccer Club - Albany Running Exchange Running Clinic
Albany Running Exchange (ARE) and Albany Soccer Club are teaming up to host a collaborative Running Technique Training Session aimed at local youth athletes. This initiative is designed to help youth soccer players enhance their performance by focusing on safe, efficient running mechanics in a fun and supportive environment.
The session will be held at Albany Soccer Club’s main facilities at Hoffman Park and is open to athletes of all skill levels that are twelve years and older. Expert coach, Michelle Merlis, from the Albany Running Exchange will lead the session, providing instruction on posture, stride, injury prevention, and drills that directly benefit both soccer and running performance. This event reinforces both organizations’ commitment to the physical, mental, and emotional growth of young people through sport.
“Movement skills and efficient running are foundational both in distance running and soccer,” said Josh Caldon, the Sporting Director for Albany Soccer Club. “We’re thrilled to partner with Albany Running Exchange to give local kids the tools to be faster, safer, and more confident on the field or track.”
Albany Soccer Club has promoted youth development and fun through team competition since 1996. This collaboration with Albany Running Exchange further fosters a love of active living in the Capital Region.
