Wickers Creek Band

The five-person Wickers Creek Band sings in blended harmonies backed up by varying combinations of fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar and bass. The band’s repertoire includes classic and contemporary bluegrass, country and Appalachian music, with a dollop of French Canadian, Celtic and New England dance tunes thrown in for good measure. Featured are lead singer Peter Paden on banjo and mandolin, Charlene Paden on fiddle, Rob Bradley on guitar, Andy Bing on mandolin and dobro, and Vivian Walsh on upright bass. If you love the high lonesome sound of bluegrass music you’ll love the Wickers Creek Band! Each season, the Friends will offer a musical concert experience at the Library with an emphasis on local talent. Like all programs and services at the Library, the concerts will be free and all are welcome! This concert is part of the Friends of the Chatham Public Library's Music in the Library concert series. The Friends is a volunteer organization whose goal is to support the Library. Funds received by the Friends are used to sponsor a wide variety of library programs and events, including the new Music in the Library concert series, the Library of Things where patrons can borrow practical tools, games and other and items like a sewing machine or a bulb planter, special events for children and families such as Two By Two Animal Haven live animal shows and the annual Summer Reading Program for youth.
