Veterans Food and Sneaker Drive
The Northeastern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross and its Service to the Armed Forces division is hosting the semi-annual Veterans Food Drive, November 10th , 2024, at Red Cross offices in Albany The drive benefits the Veterans Food Pantry at the Albany Stratton VA Center, a resource available to all area Veterans. Food items needed for the Pantry include non-perishable items such as canned meat and tuna, canned beans and vegetables, packaged or canned fruit, pasta of all varieties including mac and cheese, pasta sauce, rice, ramen, cereals and oatmeal, and peanut butter and jelly. Also needed are snack items such as cookies, chips, and pretzels in single serve packages.
Plastic jars are preferred rather than glass, and please, no expired items.
One special need for the pantry is NEW Men’s sneakers, size 9 and up!
