Caffe Lena Poetry featuring Amie Zimmerman
Each open mic poet reads two short poems (less than one page) or one longer poem. All styles of poetry are welcome. In July, the featured poet is Amie Zimmerman. The featured reading will also be livestreamed, please visit caffelena.org for links and information.
Amie Zimmerman is from Portland, Oregon. Her work has been published in Annulet, Denver Quarterly, Protean, and Lana Turner, among others. She is author of four chapbooks, including 31 Days/The Self (Ursus Americanus, 2021) and a debut full length collection, False Spring (Roof Books, 2026). Alongside Hajar Hussaini and Matthew Klane, Amie co-curates poetry reading series Salon Salvage in Troy, NY.
