Speaker: Vikki Broida, a JSC member for 2 years and retired High School Spanish teacher, will discuss the sinking of the S/S Norge, which had a significant loss of life at sea but is less remembered due to its immigrant passenger demographic. The talk will cover the sailing, sinking, rescue, mystical rumors, and personal family stories of survivors.
JSC will provide a catered dinner and beverages. Dessert contributions are welcome!
YOU MUST RSVP BY MAY 12 TO ATTEND THE DINNER.
To be eco-responsible, please bring your own dish, silverware and wine glass. We will also continue to have disposable items available.
