Canton Concert Band to perform at Malone University
The Canton Concert Band's June 12th program is a rich blend of sacred and classic pieces, designed to delight audiences of all ages. The band will perform "Eternal Father, Strong to Save," by Claude T. Smith, and Sousa's "Ben Bolt," showcasing the composers' mastery of traditional band repertoire. Gershwin fans will enjoy "They Can't Take That Away from Me" and "Embraceable You," both sung by Malone's Director of Choral Activities, Russell Gartner.
The program also includes Thomas Knox's "God of Our Fathers," Jesse Ayers's "Private Eye Prowl," and Alfred Reed's "Allelulia! Laudamus Te."
Jonathon Stuck, Professor of Tuba at Malone University will conduct the program and admission is free (donations accepted). In the event of inclement weather, please check our website for an alternate location (www.cantonconcertband.com).
