Jack Tracy performs "Pop Off" at Dixon Place

Jack Tracy will perform Pop Off,  a celebration of up and coming independent LGBTQ+ Pop, R&B and Hip-Hop musicians, taking place Saturday, August 14th at Dixon Place, as part of their HOT! Festival events.

Tracy will perform original tracks from his Love Yah EP including his brand-new remix of "Don't Compare" with J.R. Price, and covers from his new Intermission EP.

The Intermission EP releases to Spotify and all digital platforms tomorrow.  It spotlights three B-sides singles that Tracy feels were under-appreciated in their time.  He puts his own unique spin on Tweet & Missy Elliot's R&B ballad "Turn Da Lights Off," Ginuwine's "So Anxious" and Toni Braxton’s "The Heat."   “Each song is an incredible example of Black excellence in music,” Jack Tracy explains.  “At the very least, I hope the EP inspires people to go back and give the originals the second listen they deserve.”

He also hopes that releasing a few covers encourages listeners to discover his original compositions.

“As independent LGBTQ+ artists, it is difficult to get original music into people's ears,” Jack Tracy contends.  "That is why showcases like Pop Off are important."

Joining Jack Tracy on the Dixon Place stage to perform their latest works will be out artists Mel Lennon, Marcel The Artist, Vegas Valentine and Javarr.   Tickets available here.
