The African American Arts Festival returns to Downtown Canton’s Centennial Plaza on Saturday, July 11, 2026, bringing together culture, community, entertainment, and celebration in one exciting day-long event. The festival will feature live music and performances, local vendors, food trucks, youth and family activities, cultural experiences, community resources, and opportunities to support local businesses and organizations.
This year’s festival is proudly organized by a planning committee made up of representatives from 15 different Black-led nonprofit organizations working collaboratively to celebrate culture, strengthen community connections, and create meaningful opportunities throughout Stark County.
Festival attendees can expect a diverse lineup of entertainment, local talent, community engagement activities, and a vibrant marketplace featuring small businesses, nonprofits, artisans, and food vendors. With thousands expected to attend, the African American Arts Festival continues its mission of celebrating African American culture, uplifting local voices, and creating spaces where the community can connect, learn, and thrive together.
The event is free and open to the public. Community members throughout Stark County and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend and experience a day filled with music, arts, food, culture, and fun for all ages.
