17th Annual Akron Women's Rugby Prom on the Pitch
From the organizer: "Akron Women’s Rugby Team will host their 17th annual Prom on the Pitch on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 in one jam packed day where you can watch the silk and taffeta fly! This year’s theme is, “Because Love Shouldn’t Hurt” as Prom on the Pitch is an annual fundraiser for the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit & Medina Counties.
Families are welcome to attend, and admission is free, although donations are being accepted for parking. Concessions will be on site thanks to O.G Street Eatz. All are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets and participate in the social following the last match thanks to Romeos Pizza and Thirsty Dog Brewery.
Monetary donations, gift cards, as well as requested items from the shelter will be collected at the field throughout the game. Cereal, Heat & Eat Foods (Cups of Mac & Cheese, Chef BoyRDee, ect), Individually Wrapped Snacks, Drink Mixes (Lemonade, Iced Tea, Kool Aid, ect), Hygiene Products (Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash), Diapers (Size 3 and Above)."
