Darnell Epps will discuss why Federal Pell Grants and state financial aid should be extended to everyone who is incarcerated, regardless of the length of their sentence. In doing so, he will highlight many of the arguments made in his recently published op-ed in the New York Daily News.
Mr. Epps is currently a government major and senior at Cornell University and a former student of the Cornell Prison Education Program. Darnell has also worked as a research assistant for the Cornell Center for the Study of the Death Penalty Worldwide, and his writings have been published in the New York Times, The Harvard Blackletter Law Journal, and the New York Daily News.
