As the fifth inaugural poet in U.S. history and the youngest and first Latino, immigrant and gay American to serve in such a role, Richard Blanco joined the ranks of such luminary poets as Robert Frost and Maya Angelou when he read his poem, "One Today" at President Obama's 2013 inauguration. Come and hear Blanco speak about his incredible journey from his roots in Cuba to Miami to the U.S. Capitol steps and beyond. A book signing will follow the lecture and Q&A session. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.
