UArts: Inauguration of President David Yager

In the midst of University of the Arts’ 140th anniversary celebration, footprints continue to be made in UArts history. Celebrate the inauguration of David Yager as the fourth president of the University of the Arts with a lively ceremony on October 17. The University has thrown out the rulebook for this one-of-a-kind presidential inauguration ceremony which will feature dance and musical performances, and much more. During the inauguration, Stan Lee of Marvel Comics (on video), film producer Ron Yerxa, and UMBC President Freeman A. Hrabowski, III, will receive honorary doctor of fine arts degrees. The ceremony, which will take place in the historic Merriam Theater, will also include remarks by Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and UArts Board Chair Jeffrey Lutsky.
