Courageous or Cowardly? The Risk-taking Tendencies of the Candidates


As we approach the 2016 presidential election, we want to better understand the candidates and their propensities for risk-taking, how they deal with conflict, and the style with which they will lead in the international arena. The people we elect to the U.S. presidency come with personal experience which defines how they will shape the destiny of our country. How do these leaders  and their experiences before they take office choose whether to lead our country into wars and start military conflicts, or avoid conflict and focus on other issues?

Join us for Part II in the Election 2016 series as Michael Horowitz compares the leadership traits of the 2016 presidential candidates based on the Leader Experience and Attribute Descriptions (LEAD) dataset, which contains data on more than thirty leader attributes, from military service to education to marriage and children, for more than 2500 world leaders in office from the late 19th century to the 21st century.
