This is a challenging session for serious young actors exploring the fundamentals of the craft of acting including memorization skills, relaxation techniques, scene and character analysis, and creating believable reality in the moment. This 4 week course is for both beginners and intermediate learners who may already have some background in acting technique.
Videotaping and playback makes this class a true gem. Parents are encouraged to attend the last class for review.
About the Instructor:
Joey Perillo is a veteran character actor and Teen and Adult acting instructor who has worked and taught in Philadelphia, Princeton, New York and Los Angeles for more than 30 years. Joey has appeared as a principal (speaking) actor in virtually every theatrical medium including 14 major motion pictures such as 'Philadelphia,' '12 Monkeys,' Rachel Getting Married, ' 'The Negotiator,' 'The Manchurian Candidate,'....and the original (and best) 'Hairspray.'
