Philadelphia's own Leah Cevoli has spent over a decade as a professional working actor in Los Angeles.
After graduating from West Chester University in 1999 Leah soon discovered she could live the normal life no more, and with her Ford Probe packed to the roof, $200 in her pockets, and no real plan for work or housing, Leah headed to Hollywood. That was her first mistake!
For 5 years Leah worked regularly as a non-union background actor, performing in local plays (non-paying), and booking bands in Hollywood night clubs. Leah attended workshops after workshops never getting the auditions or the meetings that would help take her to the next level. After taking a simple branding workshop in 2004, things began to click for Leah, and in the winter of '04 Leah was Taft-Hartleyed into SAG as a series regular.
Leah immediately refined her marketing skills and knowing her type sought out which Casting Directors to workshop with for her type, and her success rate of getting called in for auditions and meetings sky-rocketed. In this workshop she wants to share these tips with you, to help make your journey a little less bumpy!
Doing your due diligence is nearly impossible for an actor to do before taking the leap of faith to LA. In this workshop the 'who's who' is laid out for you.
Leah will share with you her tips for getting in touch with your own personal brand and using it to execute a professional and refined strategy of marketing yourself to LA's top casting directors.
