Please join us to learn about the Yiddish language, culture, and heritage. Until the middle of the 20th century, Yiddish was the international language of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe. Today, experts estimate there are between 1 million and 2 million native Yiddish speakers in the world, but only about 500,000 speak it at home. Gratz College is determined to keep the Yiddish language and culture alive. The Yiddish program at Gratz College is supported by Beverly & David Schorr/DJS Associates, Inc. The course is 8 sessions and the cost is $160 per student. Class runs from May 6-July 1. For more information or to register for the course, please contact Rita Ratson at [email protected] or call 215-637-7300 ext. 177.
