For 41 years, the American Cancer Society Bike-a-thon has attracted cyclists who want to help finish the fight against cancer. This year's event will take place on Sunday, July 14. Approximately 3,300 riders will line up at the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge for the 65-mile ride through South Jersey.
Along the route, riders will have the opportunity to take a break at rest stops and fuel up by grabbing a quick snack or drink before continuing their ride to Buena, NJ. More than 300 volunteers will also join this year's cyclists as they greet riders at the rest stops, provide support along the route and cheer for them throughout the entire day.
Can't ride 65 miles or want to go even farther? The event also provides shorter distance options starting at 20 miles, and has a century option for those looking to complete 100 miles! Also new for 2013 is a Family Fun Ride, which is an eight-mile ride starting and finishing at the endpoint. Last year's Bike-a-thon raised more than $1.1 million and this year's riders are poised to surpass last year's total! Please visit our website for event details, start locations and times.
