This one-day celebration on the WheatonArts Campus will bring together music, dance and visual arts that represent the many faces of the Caribbean cultural heritage as maintained by the Caribbean communities residing in our region.
The festivities of the day will begin with a Carnival Procession and everyone is invited to join.
Highlights include Puerto Rican Jibaro, Pena and Bomba, Mask Making, Jamaican Folk Music, Mento and Reggae, Haitian Vodou and Rara, Trinidadian Calypso, Soca, and Steel Pan, Dominican Bachata, Merengue, and Palo Altar Displays. Cuban Bata drumming and Afro-Cuban dances, Afro-Caribbean stilt walkers, Garifuna music and dance, Artists Market, Caribbean Cuisine, and more…
