BEST BUDDIES PENNSYLVANIA FRIENDSHIP WALK

The Best Buddies Friendship Walk (BBFW) is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The walk plays a key role in funding Best Buddies programs dedicated to one-to-one friendships, leadership development, and integrated job opportunities for individuals with IDD. Each walk provides an opportunity to see the Best Buddies mission in action at a local level. Since the walk’s inception in 2009, more than 70,000 participants in 46 cities have walked to raise awareness for inclusion, friendship, leadership, and opportunity for people with IDD.
This year, we are thrilled to announce that the Philly Friendship Walk will take place at the Philadelphia Zoo on Saturday, April 29th!
Walk registration will begin at 8am followed by activities and vendors in the Impala Lawn area. Opening ceremonies will include top fundraiser awards, mission moments and a warm up to get everyone pumped and ready to walk! Once the walk kicks off at 9:30am, participants will hit the pavement in celebration of friendship and inclusion as they roam through each of the Zoo’s exciting exhibits. No need to rush past the penguins, you can enjoy free admission for the entire day compliments of Best Buddies PA!
