Big Green is our 1975 Seagrave Fire Engine and has been sidelined by mechanical issues over the past couple of years and has also been noticeably absent from the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Big Green will be 40 years old next year and saw 30 years of active front line service with the Drexel Hill Volunteer Fire Company ,after she was retired from active service the fire company donated the truck to the division.
The upkeep ,maintenance and fuel costs associated with owning and operating the truck are very expensive , with Big Green being almost 40 years old , parts can be somewhat hard to come by and sometimes they have to be made which is also can be very expensive.
We have big plans , for Big Green and with your help and support we can accomplish them.
Thank you in advanced for your support.
