Make a Spectroscope and an Eclipse Viewer

On August 21, 2017, for the first time since 1979, the sun, the moon, and the earth will line up in a row, causing a total solar eclipse to occur. Prepare for this spectacular event in a special astronomy workshop exploring the electromagnetic spectrum, the stars, and the moon.

Build your own spectroscope and learn how to break apart light using this fascinating tool; assemble a personal solar viewer to help you safely view the eclipse on the 21st; and answer your burning questions about eclipses, stars, light, and more!

This workshop is appropriate for ages 8 and up.

To purchase tickets, call 215.448.1200.
