Philadelphia author Jon McGoran talks about his new book Deadout, the riveting sequel to his acclaimed biotech thriller Drift, which expands on the theme of genetically modified foods.
Deadout also explores Colony Collapse Disorder, which threatens the world's honeybee populations. McGoran's short fiction, nonfiction and satire have appeared in a variety of publications; under the name D.H. Dublin, he is the author of forensic crime thrillers Freezer Burn, Blood Poison and Body Trace, from Penguin Books. McGoran was previously editor-in-chief of Philadelphia publications Grid magazine and The Shuttle newspaper.
