#Selfie takes a look at the changing face of self-portraiture in our world of smart phones and social media. Artists have always used their own personas to explore identity, community, and social issues. Many use humor to share their ideas. The lecture will focus on Contemporary Art, including artists who use Facebook and even DNA samples to expand portraiture in 21st century art. $8 Members/$10 Non-Members.
