The Capitol Steps: America’s Premiere Political Musical Satire Troupe is a political comedy show that offers a mix of song and standup, lampooning modern political leaders and taking on the major issues of the day. Originally made up of congressional staffers, the past 2 decades have seen the “Steps” harvest the talent of finely tuned musical-theatre professionals from around the country.
Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded 35 albums, including the soon to be released, “Orange Is The New Barack.” They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard throughout the year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials.
