Through understanding and practicing Buddha’s teachings on bodhichitta, the mind of enlightenment, we can develop a powerfully joyful and loving heart which we can use to heal our own suffering and the suffering of others around us.
In this special day course, we will hear profound but practical teachings on this supremely altruistic mind, how to develop it inside in our heart through meditation and daily practice, and how to become a friend to the world who affects everyone they meet in the best possible way.
Finally, a special Bodhisattva Vow ceremony will be offered in which people will have the opportunity to become a member of the Mahayana Buddhist family, becoming like a son or daughter of Buddha. This vow will ensure the swift attainment of enlightenment for whoever takes it. It is said whoever takes the Bodhisattva Vow and keeps it purely will constantly be creating positive energy day and night, even while asleep.
This day will be based on the book, Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, which is available at our bookstore.
