Aparna Nancherla is a stand-up comedian and actress who plays the recurring characters Hollyhock on Netflix’s Bojack Horseman and Anaya on HBO’s Crashing. She has appeared on the Netflix series Master of None, Love and The Characters, as well as Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and TV Land’s The Jim Gaffigan Show.
Aparna has performed stand-up on Conan, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail and her own Comedy Central Half Hour. She has also written for NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and FX’s Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, and co-stars in the acclaimed web series Womanhood along with Jo Firestone.
In 2017, Rolling Stone named Aparna Nancherla one of the 50 Funnniest People Right Now. She was also named a 2016 Comic to Watch by Variety and one of the 25 Best Comedians of 2016 by Paste Magazine.
