Historic Philadelphia Inc.'s An Evening in Franklin Square, presented by Parx Casino, will take place on Thursday, May 19 at Franklin Square, 6th & Race Streets, Philadelphia. The evening will begin at 6 pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner along with a live auction and dancing at 7:30 pm. The Parx Square Derby, a carousel "race� where guests buy a mount or place bets and race to the finish, will be a highlight of the night. The co-chairs of the event are Randy Chapman, Eric Etkins, Marc Oppenheimer, and Carol Zacney. A new highlight in 2016 will be the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square, with Chinese lanterns in the form of giant flowers, a three-story pagoda, a massive Chinese dragon, and much more throughout the Square to enhance the beautiful evening. www.historicphiladelphia.org, 215-629-4026
