You are invited to the upcoming Integrative Mental Health Conference & Expo hosted by Kathy Flaminio and Katie Kenefick of 1000 Petals, Marit Appeldoorn and Carol Siegel. This event will be held at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation in St. Paul.

Through the Mind-Body Connection: An Integrative Approach to Mental Health & Well-Being for Children & Adults highlights cutting edge work from both traditional treatment and holistic health modalities. Educators, clinicians, parents and community members are invited to attend. This will be a great opportunity for radical self-care and for mental health practitioners, community members and holistic healers to come together to share their work.

The Thursday evening Welcome Reception (5:30P-7:30P, open to the public) kicks off the conference and will feature local vendor booths offering holistic health products and services as well as live drumming, Yoga, Qigong and art demos. We have over 25 vendors at our Expo including: University of MN Center for Spirituality and Healing, Partners in Resilience, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), CRC Health Group/Sierra Tucson, Pride Institute, Tula Yoga & Wellness, Whole Family Chiropractic, Minnesota Art Play Therapy, Selby Acupuncture, the Wedge Co-Op and more.

Conference Highlights on Friday (8:00A-4:30P) include a keynote presentation by Dr. Henry Emmons, MD, author of Chemistry of Joy and Chemistry of Calm on 'The Science of Hope: Blending New Science and Ancient Wisdom to Sustain a Healthy Mind, Mood and Heart.' Participants can choose to register for breakout sessions on Art Therapy, Nutrition & Mental Health, Laughter Yoga, Mindful Parenting, The Art and Science of Social/Emotional Learning, Aroma Therapy, Integrated Mindfulness, Yoga Calm, Qigong, SomaYoga, Sand Tray Therapy and many more.
