Rave reviews have followed this exquisite piece since its premiere in 2007. Commissioned by Piffaro and performed with New Music choir The Crossing, under the direction of former Lyric Opera of Chicago conductor Donald Nally, both the debut and ensuing CD (released in 2009 on the Navona label) of EPIPHANY VESPERS by Philadelphia composer Kile Smith, have received wide critical acclaim.
