Event Details

Philadelphia restaurants & eateries will come together for a free-to-attend city-wide restaurant crawl & food drive where you can experience our vibrant local restaurant scene in each of our neighborhoods. Think of it as day-long happy hour with specials on Yards Beer and Tito's Vodka mixed drinks and featured discounted small plate menu items across the city!

For a list of participating locations and where you can check in / start, please visit: http://www.FoodFest.org

Our goal is to support and bring awareness to food related charities in our great city through restaurants opening their doors to an all-day event centered on trying new restaurants, drinks, food, and fun. There will be food drop off locations in each neighborhood where you can bring canned goods just before Thanksgiving.

Food Fest is FREE to participate for both consumers and restaurants []. There are two ticket options – one that is free and another that is a donation to charity. If you do donate, we will be mailing out a coupon book (several weeks after Food Fest) that will be good for discounts at multiple Philadelphia area restaurants & businesses. NOTE: the coupon book is not needed for the Food Fest discounts.

A Message From Our Presenting Sponsor, Tito's Handmade Vodka.
Through Food Fest, we challenge Philly to help us make the world a better place! We have agreed to match every dollar donated, up to $10,000, leading up to Food Fest! Together we can do great things to strike out hunger in the City of Brotherly Love!! Additionally, Tito's has also challenged all participating restaurants and will match their philanthropic efforts up to an additional $5,000! We strongly believe that when a community works together they can achieve great things. Thank You for your charitable support. - Tito's Handmade Vodka

Benefiting Charities

A large portion of all proceeds will go to benefit charities in the Philadelphia area.  You can choose where to donate your money from the following organizations.

Philabundance

Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Philabundance has taken a stronghold of the hunger issue in the Delaware Valley, implementing both emergency relief and also long-term strategies to strengthen the hunger safety net. Their growth and eventual integration with the Philadelphia Food Bank in 2005 has made them the region’s largest hunger relief organization. They are now able to address hunger through direct service programs and a network of 400 member agencies, as well as contribute to a broad spectrum of social services through food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, daycare and senior centers and beyond.

The Food Trust

The Food Trust's mission is to ensure that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food and information to make healthy decisions. Working with neighborhoods, schools, grocers, farmers and policymakers, we've developed a comprehensive approach to improved food access that combines nutrition education and greater availability of affordable, healthy food.

Alex's Lemonade Stand

Alex's Lemonade Stand holds a special place in our hearts – the stories of children they support are incredibly touching and moving. While not directly connected to food related issues, Alex's mission is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily research into new treatments and cures. It also aims to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.
