Experienced instructors teach the skills and technique of ballet dancing

  • Heritage School of Classical Ballet bases its works on the beauty of Russian classical ballet. Students train in a family-friendly atmosphere under the members of the home company, Heritage School of Classicfal Ballet. Students are given multiple performance opportunities each year and, upon invitation, are able to join the company in shows on a much larger scale. Low costs to students and their families puts the total focus on the final production and allows students with financial need to easily participate in performances.
  • Our background is Russian ballet as it was taught and performed by the Ballets Russe de Monte Carlo and our goal is to make this available to as many area communities as possible. Our ballets range from the most deeply classical works, such as “Chopin Reverie” to contemporary works influenced by folk dance styles like Irish step dance, Japanese dance and flamenco.
  • Hope Miller, the Artistic Director, is a member of the Worldwide Who’s Who. Her choreography spans 3 decades and has been performed for trade shows, the United Nations, national competitions and local recitals. She has taught and choreographed for over 30 years in Texas and has performed with the Dallas Opera, Richland College, Ballet Jeunesse of Dallas, and many other groups.
  • Our students begin ballet at age 3 with a ballet/coordination class. By age 5, they begin working in full ballet classes which include terminology, stage directions, general technique and combinations. Students enrolled in the 2 class a week program can begin to perform with the company when invited. Our goal is to teach ballet in a “whole-person” fashion to allow children to have time to develop as both people and dancers. No child who truly wishes to learn ballet is turned away.
