Customers can participate in in-person or online courses to prepare themselves for obtaining the Adjuster License
- The Insurance Adjuster License is a two-year, renewable license. Adjuster license holders can work gathering residential, commercial, automobile, farm and ranch, inland marine, ocean marine, and workers’ comp claims.
- Texas Pre-License Adjuster and Xactimate Combo In-Classroom Course: this 5-day course includes classroom sessions, training materials, exam, and certificate of completion, as well as 101 training on the estimating software program Xactimate and Fundamentals of Adjusting.
- Texas Pre-License Adjuster In-Classroom Course: this 4-day course includes classroom sessions, books, training materials, exam, and certificate of completion.
- Online Adjuster Course: This 40-hour course is dedicated to those students who are unable to attend the in-classroom sessions. It is a self-paced, guided learning experience that students participate in using the merchant’s Learning Management System. The course fulfills the Department of Insurance requirements for obtaining one’s Adjuster License. Once the students have completed the online course and passed the final exam, no further testing or additional coursework will be required. They will only need to submit their Adjuster Application and all the required information to the Department of Insurance for processing of their Adjuster License.
